 Chapter 4: Bread of Life Day 1

The Name: Bread of Life

    Without bread most of those in ancient Israel would not survive. It is good that in the Lord's prayer that Jesus instructs His followers to pray for their daily bread. Yet the Lord also challenged His followers not to work for food that spoils. That He is the only food that enables them to live forever. Bethlehem is where Jesus was born, and it was means house of bread. 

    After feeding the 5000, He shocked His followers:

John 6:53 - Then Jesus said to them, “Most assuredly, I say to you, unless you eat the flesh of the Son of Man and drink His blood, you have no life in you.

    This week as we seek to know Jesus as the bread of life, we must ask Him to show us exactly what it means to feed on Him. 

Key Scripture: 

John 6:48-51 -  I am the bread of life. Your fathers ate the manna in the wilderness and are dead. This is the bread which comes down from heaven, that one may eat of it and not die. I am the living bread which came down from heaven. If anyone eats of this bread, he will live forever; and the bread that I shall give is My flesh, which I shall give for the life of the world.”

Father, 

    Thank You Father for a new name today, help us to have a good week of learning about Your name Bread of life and what it means. What it means to us and what we can learn from You as our Bread of Life.

Sunday June 8, 2025 - Light of the World!!

 Chapter 2: Light of the World Day 1 Jewish Tradition one name of Messiah is Light Jesus is Light of the World. John's Gospel says that Jesus is the Light that vanquishes the darkness brought on by sin ending in death. We who believe in Him have passed from darkness to light from death to life.  Let us ask Jesus to make us shine with His reflective glory.  John 8:12 -  Then Jesus spoke to them again, saying,  “I am the light of the world. He who   follows Me shall not walk in darkness but have the light of life.” Father,      I ask that You help me shine for You to the girls and be a blessing in life to them. Help me to love them with Your unconditional life and send them the best letters and devotionals that I can send. Give me life and love for my girls and keep me shining for You.  In Jesus Name,      Amen

Immanuel Father,      I thank You and praise You for this wonderful study that You have given me. It is so good and helping me to learn to praise You better in my prayers.
