Friday July 11, 2025 - Lamb of God
Chapter 6: Lamb of God Day 6
Promises Associated with His Name:
Every childhood inevitably holds it share of tears. And how can it be otherwise in an imperfect world with imperfect people. Revelation says that one day God will wipe away every tear.
Revelation 7:17 - for the Lamb who is in the midst of the throne will shepherd them and lead them to living fountains of waters. And God will wipe away every tear from their eyes.”
Like a parent encouraging a child He tells us that in the end all will be well. When the Lamb is on the throne, and all things are completely under His rule, God's own fingers will wipe away all our tears. Our life on this earth is a time of growing up, the time of testing that stretches and shapes us toward maturity so we can become more Christ like. If we let Him God will use our suffering to etch His character in us and in the end no matter how deep our sorrow, it will be destroyed by the joy of seeing the Lamb face to face.
Promises in Scripture:
Revelation 7:16-17 - They shall neither hunger anymore nor thirst anymore; the sun shall not strike them, nor any heat; 17 for the Lamb who is in the midst of the throne will shepherd them and lead them to living fountains of waters. And God will wipe away every tear from their eyes.”
Revelation 12:10-11 - Then I heard a loud voice saying in heaven, “Now salvation, and strength, and the kingdom of our God, and the power of His Christ have come, for the accuser of our brethren, who accused them before our God Day and night, has been cast down. 11 And they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb and by the word of their testimony, and they did not love their lives to the death.
Continued Prayer and Praise:
Remember that Jesus is the Passover Lamb:
Exodus 12:2-47
1 Corinthians 5:7b - For indeed Christ, our Passover, was sacrificed for us.
John 19:31 - Therefore, because it was the Preparation Day, that the bodies should not remain on the cross on the Sabbath (for that Sabbath was a high day), the Jews asked Pilate that their legs might be broken, and that they might be taken away.
Praise the Great Lamb of God:
Revelation 7:9-10 - After these things I looked, and behold, a great multitude which no one could number, of all nations, tribes, peoples, and tongues, standing before the throne and before the Lamb, clothed with white robes, with palm branches in their hands, 10 and crying out with a loud voice, saying, “Salvation belongs to our God who sits on the throne, and to the Lamb!”
Be Confident of the Lambs Final Victory:
Revelation 17:12-14 - “The ten horns which you saw are ten kings who have received no kingdom as yet, but they receive authority for one hour as kings with the beast. 13 These are of one mind, and they will give their power and authority to the beast. 14 These will make war with the Lamb, and the Lamb will overcome them, for He is Lord of lords and King of kings; and those who are with Him are called, chosen, and faithful.”
Realize that the Church is the bride of the Lamb:
Revelation 19:6 -9 - And I heard, as it were, the voice of a great multitude, as the sound of many waters and as the sound of mighty thundering's, saying, “Alleluia! For the Lord God Omnipotent reigns! 7 Let us be glad and rejoice and give Him glory, for the marriage of the Lamb has come, and His wife has made herself ready.” 8 And to her it was granted to be arrayed in fine linen, clean and bright, for the fine linen is the righteous acts of the saints. 9 Then he said to me, “Write: ‘Blessed are those who are called to the marriage supper of the Lamb!’ ” And he said to me, “These are the true sayings of God.”
Revelation 21:9-14 - Then one of the seven angels who had the seven bowls filled with the seven last plagues came to me and talked with me, saying, “Come, I will show you the bride, the Lamb’s wife.” 10 And he carried me away in the Spirit to a great and high mountain, and showed me the great city, the holy Jerusalem, descending out of heaven from God, 11 having the glory of God. Her light was like a most precious stone, like a jasper stone, clear as crystal. 12 Also she had a great and high wall with twelve gates, and twelve angels at the gates, and names written on them, which are the names of the twelve tribes of the children of Israel: 13 three gates on the east, three gates on the north, three gates on the south, and three gates on the west. 14 Now the wall of the city had twelve foundations, and on them were the names of the twelve apostles of the Lamb.
Father,
I come to You today trying to be humble and respectful of You who was our Lamb of God and who took from us the sin and gave Your life for us. Thank You for being the Lamb!!
As I learn the names of Jesus please help me to remember them and use them in times of greatest need.
In Jesus Name,
Amen
