Sunday June 1st, 2025 - Immanuel

Chapter 1 - Immanuel: Day 1

Twice in Hebrew scriptures, once in New Testament. 

Immanuel - With us is God or in Matthew - God with us!!

When we could not come to Him because of our sins -  He came to us, making Him susceptible to sorrow - familiar with temptation - and venerable to sins disruptive power. In order to cancel its claim. In Jesus we could see how extreme God's love is for us. 

Jesus is still Immanuel, God with us!! 

Matthew 1:22-23 - So, all this was done that it might be fulfilled which was spoken by the Lord through the prophet, saying: "Behold, the virgin shall be with child, and bear a Son, and they shall call His name Immanuel," which is translated, "God with us". 

Father, 

    Thank You for sending Jesus and bringing You as God down to earth in the embodiment of Jesus. You came to hold us up and to stand with us holding us so that we can follow Jesus and show that You are here with us daily. 

In Jesus Name,

 Chapter 2: Light of the World Day 2 The Name Revealed!! John 1:3-9 -  All things were made through Him, and without Him nothing was made that was made.    In Him was life, and the life was the light of men.  And the light shines in the darkness and the darkness did not comprehend it.  There was a man sent from God, whose name  was  John.  This man came for a witness, to bear witness of the Light, that all through him might believe.  He was not that Light but  was sent  to bear witness of that Light.  That was the true Light which gives light to every man coming into the world.
