 Chapter 10: Rabbi, Rabboni, Teacher Day 1

The Name: 

     In Jesus time the name rabbi or teacher was normal for someone who studied under a rabbi for years, but Jesus offended the religious leaders of His day by ignoring the system, instead of apprenticing under another rabbi He lay down His carpenter tools and called 12 ordinary men to become His disciples, Unlike other rabbi's Jesus day who passed on the teaching of the rabbi's that taught them, Jesus spoke with an authority that shocked the listeners.

    2000 years later we are called to become His disciples to stay as close to Him as a disciples would to a rabbi, study His life examining His teaching and allowing His Spirit to remake us in His image, When You pray to Rabbi Jesus, remember you are praying to the only teacher, who is all wise, all good and all powerful, able to transform not only your mind but also your heart.

Matthew 23:8 - But you, do not be called ‘Rabbi’; for One is your Teacher, the Christ, and you are all brethren.

 Chapter 2: Light of the World Day 2 The Name Revealed!!
