Chapter 11: Word Day 4
Praying the Name;
John 5:24-26 - “Most assuredly, I say to you, he who hears My word and believes in Him who sent Me has everlasting life, and shall not come into judgment, but has passed from death into life. 25 Most assuredly, I say to you, the hour is coming, and now is, when the dead will hear the voice of the Son of God; and those who hear will live. 26 For as the Father has life in Himself, so He has granted the Son to have life in Himself,
Colossians 3:16 - Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly in all wisdom, teaching and admonishing one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing with grace in your hearts to the Lord.
Father,
I praise You for opening my ears to You and Your Word, and I pray that others will open and hear from You that I am a good witness to them. Please help me to encourage others to open their ears and heart to You so that they come to love You and hear You totally.
I thank You Father for speaking through Jesus and for holding onto us that we might understand and follow Him. I pray that the Words spoken through Jesus touch other hearts and minds through me as well. Thank You that those words are never void or empty when sent out.
Forgive me if I do not heed Your Word about things, I know that the church thing needs dealt with and I ask forgiveness for staying home, I need You to change me inside if I am to go back to church. I do not want to leave this house. Forgive me if there are other things that I am not hearing or obeying.
I pray that You get me back into memorizing Your Word, if I just work on some Awana verses then I could remember some put in already to start out with and relearn that would not be so hard to do. Help me to be able to memorize again too.
Thank You for this study my life needs to be ever more connected to You and Your Word.
In Jesus Name,
Amen
John 5:25 - Most assuredly, I say to you, the hour is coming, and now is, when the dead will hear the voice of the Son of God; and those who hear will live.
The assurance is given to us by Jesus, the last most perfect Word of God who tells us that if you hear His Word and believe in the Father that sent Him, there is nothing you cannot survive. No tragedy, no financial crisis, emotional problem, illness, betrayal, disappointment, or accident.
Nothing can ever tear you away from Christ, even death the most final of all calamities cannot destroy your hope. Because Jesus the all powerful Word of God assures you that He will call you out of your grave. His is the voice that spoke the world into being that healed the sick and delivered those in torment, and His is the voice you will surly hear on the very last day calling your name.
Today as you ponder this promise of Jesus, try committing John 5:24-26 to memory. As you do pray for faith and for the grace to let the truth sink in so that it becomes a source of joy strengthening you in the midst of lifes ever present challenges.
