Chapter 25: The Redeemer Day 3

Praying the Name:

Job 19:25-26 - For I know that my Redeemer lives, And He shall stand at last on the earth; 26 And after my skin is destroyed, this I know, that in my flesh I shall see God,

Lord,

I praise You for Redeeming my life through Your Son, I praise You for a life with You that is not hopeless and alone, but with You and the desires of Your heart for me. I praise You for loving me enough to send Jesus as my Redeemer.

Thank You Jesus for coming and purchasing me for God that I might one day stand before Him covered by Your blood and able to lay down on my face in His presence and take the things that I did and be judged only because of You and not for my own weaknesses. I would never live to my judgement if it was not for Your blood covering me.

Forgive me for any lack of generosity in my life. I am so selfish in my own and do not have the giving Spirit without You Lord. Help me to be more generous and I know two that I need to do that with right now. Erin and Lynn L. I just see the hurt of being ignored for days and weeks and not what they feel about me they must not like me anymore, but I do not know what I did to make them not want to talk to me Lord. Why walk out on me now?

Lord I do want to grow into the likeness of Christ, and I need much help with that. I need to have that time to grow and become more like Jesus, and need help doing that. I thank You for the study that I am doing and the time with You but I need more time and more life with You.

Many of us cannot remember a time in which we did not know about Jesus dying on the cross but some of us may know the story both too well and too little. We have heard it so often that we have been dulled to its drama, From gold crosses that dangle from chains around our necks, we forget that we are wearing a symbol of one of the most painful deaths imaginable.

The early Christians had the advantage of being closer to the story. Some of them could still feel the crush of the crowd, could still see the anguish of the man hanging from the cross, the tragic and wonderful events of that story, would never be far from their conscience minds. It was so much a part of them, that they could not keep quiet, so the first disciples told the story again and again, they told it not just with words, without words by the way they lived and the way they died. You can say that they became little versions of the big story. It is the same today, people are telling of the same Jesus, and some are telling it by laying down their lives for Jesus Christ,
